Grecofuturism est le projet initié par Monika Kabasele, une jeune chanteuse gréco-congolaise. Elle va collaborer avec le virtuose pianiste Dexter Goldberg, ainsi que deux remarquables musiciens, Cyril Drapé à la basse et contrebasse et Malte Arndal à la batterie. L'objectif de ce projet est de créer un son multiculturel ; et la musique jazz s'y prête dans sa nature de pont entre les traditions. Un mélange musical entre la tradition grecque et la tradition congolaise qui se met en réalité à travers le jazz.

Grecofuturism is the name of the project inspired by the term Afrofuturism and initiated by the young Greek and Congolese singer Monika Kabasele. She will collaborate with the virtuoso pianist Dexter Goldberg and the great ones Cyril Drapé on bass and double bass and Malte Arndal on drums. This band gives a rich cultural sound inspired by remarkable musical traditions, like the Greek and the Congolese one. Throughout the process jazz serves as a common starting point leading to the recognition and creation of a new artistic voice, melted with the new technologies and getting ready to embrace new sounds of jazz and world music.
